Ontario Tree Pageant Winner's Ceremony

Tree Trust is pleased to announce the winner of this year's Ontario Tree Pageant contest: a cucumber tree estimated to be 100 years old in St. George. The decision was reached in late August by a four-person panel of judges from over 60 submissions from all over the province. The public is invited to come and learn more about the winning tree and its importance to the ecosystem, enter a prize draw for a gift basket donated by the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, and enjoy light refreshments. Tree Trust is a community-led organization that works to safeguard mature urban trees through education, advocacy and tree care.
